Shaw Industries Group, Inc. (Shaw) has been named the top winner in five employer categories for the Chattanooga Times Free Press 2024 North Georgia Best of the Best awards.
New this year, Shaw was voted Best Engineering Employer. Additionally, Shaw was recognized as the Best Employer for Remote Work for the second consecutive year and Best Overall Employer, Best Logistics Employer and Best Industrial Manufacturing Employer for the third year in a row.

Additionally, Deanna Mathis, director of enterprise customer experience, was named Best North Georgian in the individual category. A Dalton native, she is known as a passionate ambassador for the power of community. She has served on a variety of community boards, including the Community Foundation of NWGA, Creative Arts Guild, United Way of Northwest Georgia, Believe Greater Dalton, and the Greater Dalton Chamber. Deanna also co-founded Dalton Brewing Company, a small business that has played a key role in helping breathe new life into downtown Dalton.
The 2024 North Georgia Best of the Best awards are presented by The Chattanooga Times Free Press, the largest media outlet in the Chattanooga region, serving readers in southeast Tennessee, northwest Georgia and northeast Alabama. More than 76,000 votes were cast by readers in Catoosa, Dade, Gordon, Murray, Walker and Whitfield counties to determine the Best of the Best winners.
