Shaw Industries Group, Inc. (Shaw) has launched EcoWorx™ Resilient, a fully recyclable, PVC-free flooring product to the commercial market. Commercial collections from Patcraft and Shaw Contract became available in June 2024.
“EcoWorx Resilient offers unparalleled design, performance and sustainability benefits at an affordable price,” shared Kelley Fain, executive vice president of Shaw Industries’ commercial division. “This award-winning product is a testament to our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of our customers, and the market has already responded with tremendous enthusiasm.”
The high-performance resilient flooring is approved for heavy commercial use and high traffic areas. With Shaw’s ExoGuard+ performance, EcoWorx Resilient stands up to scratches, stains, scuffs, rolling and static loads.
Addressing the growing expectations for PVC-free product solutions and sustainable resilient flooring options, EcoWorx Resilient offers a low embodied carbon solution (5.21 kg co2e/m2) and is fully recyclable at the end of its use on the floor with the ability to be turned into more EcoWorx Resilient or into Shaw’s EcoWorx® carpet tile. Takeback and recycling are available at no cost to customers as part of Shaw’s Environmental Guarantee (1,000 square foot minimum) through the company’s re[TURN]® Reclamation Program.
Kellie Ballew, chief sustainability and innovation officer at Shaw Industries, noted, “EcoWorx Resilient is more than just a new product introduction. It’s a commitment to continued innovation and builds on Shaw’s 25-year legacy of creating products designed for people and the planet.”
The product has already received multiple certifications including Greenhealth Approved, GREENGUARD Gold, and Blue Angel; it also has a Declare label, product specific EPD, and an HPD. It is currently in review for a Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health Certificate.
