Following recent natural disasters, Shaw associates sprang into action to help the communities we serve recover after great losses.
The safety and wellbeing of the communities we serve go hand in hand with the success of our company. We are proud of our associates and their continued commitment to creating a better future for our people, customers and communities.
Summerville Flooding
In the aftermath of catastrophic flooding in Summerville, Ga., during September thousands of residents were left without water and electricity. To support the community, Shaw provided cleaning materials, water, meals and more. Since many in the area didn’t have access to water, Shaw also provided a shower trailer at Plant 67.
Many associates came together to support this community in its time of need, but we wanted to specially thank Sylvia Lee Keziah, Human Resources, who coordinated our efforts in the area with help from Shaw Transportation, Shaw Chem, Plant 67, and Plant 4 among others.
Hurricane Ian
Shaw has been mobilizing support for our associates, customers and communities that were affected by Hurricane Ian. Our HR team remains in close contact with impacted associates and our Corporate Social Responsibility team is managing support for those in need.
As one of the most destructive storms we have seen in recent years, many associates have come together to help support our disaster relief efforts, we greatly appreciate all they have accomplished.

These are just a few of the many associates who have come together to uplift our communities in their times of need. We are extremely grateful to have such exceptional associates who partner with us to create a better future. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.
Helping our customers get back in business
We have been communicating with our customers and offering assistance so they can get back in business to better support their communities in this time of need. Some of the resources we are offering include financial services, helping secure new samples and whatever else is needed to operate and ensuring depth of inventory to support customer needs. We encourage impacted customers to reach out to their Shaw territory managers with any requests.
If you want to help or need help
We encourage associates who want to help to donate directly to the Red Cross. Monetary donations are easy to deploy locally and make the greatest impact. For more information about Shaw’s community outreach efforts related to disaster relief, visit https://shawinc.com/Corporate-Responsibility.
For any associates impacted by the storm and in need of financial support, please reach out to your HR manager or contact MyHR for information about Shaw’s associate disaster relief grants. Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available 24/7 and is another great resource for all associates and members of their immediate household. As a reminder, you do not have to be on Shaw’s medical plan to use the Employee Assistance Program.
