Sales Talent and Selling Channel Expo creates connections across the organization

Whether you’re new to Shaw or you’ve been with the company for multiple decades, we all recognize the opportunities that connections create to learn and grow. The Sales Talent and Selling Channel Expo that took place earlier this week was specifically designed to increase connections up, down and across the organization.  

During this new event, 36 residential sales trainees and interns:  

• Attended panel discussions highlighting lessons from Shaw’s sales leadership, career growth and development opportunities, and our approach to associate experience  

• Participated (along with associates on the corporate campus) in the Selling Channel Expo where Shaw’s different brands and product categories each set up a booth explaining what they sell, who their customers are and how they go to market  

• Connected with members of Shaw’s Operations Management Training, Cooperative Education and Supply Chain Development programs  

“Our objectives for this event were three-fold – we wanted to expose our new residential sales talent to all of the selling environments at Shaw and showcase the many career paths that are available to them within sales and beyond,” said Sales Training Manager Lamar Starks. “Additionally, we wanted to showcase how we go to market in our different selling channels to other associates who may not get to interact with our customers or experience it firsthand. We also wanted to increase connectivity across our early careers programs.”  

Throughout the summer, we plan tol share highlights from each of the different groups represented at the expo along with intern and sales trainees spotlights– stay tuned!
