In 2016, Shaw sponsored a FIRST Robotics Competition to foster innovation and cultivate the workforce of tomorrow. Coach Marten Hutchison and team member Betzy Cruz share their failures and successes, which ultimately led to winning the Rookie Inspiration Award in their first year of the competition.
